My friend is I think 25 weeks pregnant. She has been in hosp since yesterday and I have looked after her DD1. The latest Apparently she has lost all her water but has no contractions but apparently

I think one lady on here has been told that the baby will be born in the next 15 days.

I vaguely recall a lady on here being in the same situation.

Could you please share any positive experience and/or information that I could pass on for reassurance?

And please spare a thought for my friend if you can.

Thanks

Oh I am so glad for you Worzel I bet you can't wait! I did pass the link on and have read it myself.

I actually think I will use the link to make a prem birth plan if I am ever pregnant again myself . DD tried to come out at 32 weeks and DS gave us a scare at about 28 but then decided to wait until 36 weeks just about but I would want to be prepare to be on the safe side. I felt so helpless with DD

Actually I am a bit upset today as I have not heard from my ?friend? since Monday. I think I mentioned I work with the hubby. I dropped some books, magazines and dvds by his desk the otherday to so that she can have something distracting to do (I thought they probably wouldn?t have time to troll round the shops to buy stuff like that). They have disappeared from desk so presumably have been received. I haven?t heard anything since Monday. I have sent a brief e-mail yesterday just to see how they were doing and have been blatantly ignored. I know nothing dramatic happened as I receive work e-mails from hubby. I know they are stressed pre-occupied etc but I haven?t had a thanks for anything (not that I did anything with a view to be thanked) but surely it would only take one minute to reply ?yes everything is going well thanks for asking?. AIBU? I understand they might want their privacy but we didn?t ask to be dragged into this and now we worry for the baby.

My son has a friend who was born at 24 weeks at 1lb 11oz.... He was walking at 18months, is a normal thriving 2 1/2 year old now and is so cute, clever and has amazing vocab!

I wouldnt take it seriously that you've not heard anything needahand. You will probably find they are living at the hospital and computers and phones etc etc are getting ignored, not you specifially.

Of corse yanbu, your worried too, it's only natural but they are probably so emotionally worn out from their own fear that anyone elses worry is being, not intentionally, forgotten about.

I'm sure she's reading texts and appreciating them too so don't feel too bad

Glad babys still in the right place
