Am 40+5, 2nd sweep this morning.

Am 4cm dilated, head engaged, 3rd baby. Was 4cm wed when I had 1st sweep - think this baby is too comfy!!

Only saving grace is that mw thinks it'll be quick when it does happen.

Tired of waiting!

Traipse up and down stairs a lot?

You have my sympathy, I was 10 days over with DS. Have a curry

LoveActually · 20/02/2009 12:11

I went nearly 42 weeks, turned out my baby was stargazing (head looking out of me instead of tucked in) and nothing was going to shift her.
MW told me sweeps have 25% success rate in bringing on labour anyway. \Hope it happens for you soon. x

Sorry, I know it is miserable, I was 12 days overdue and it is incredibly frustrating.

SaveFerris · 20/02/2009 12:42

Its really annoying as I can't arrange to do anything, have had DD and DS at home all week on half term, thought we would have a baby here by now :-)

Baby is back to back too, doesn't seem to want to shift.

Hey ho, the waiting game continues!!!

Ouch back to back, my sister in law's first was one of those, hope baby decides to shift soon. Really stupid question - can you tell I'm a newby still very far off from d-day? What's a sweep I've heard them mentioned a few times in thread topics but haven't read my pregnancy books through that far. They sound scary but what happens exactly?
