pelvis cramp?

hi ladies posted this in childbirth by accident so reposted here lol im almost 37 weeks pregnant and for a few weeks iv been feeling shooting pains shooting up my vagina i asked my mw at my last appointment what it was and she said that it was just the baby trying to engage.. still getting these pains but alot worse and when it happens my legs seem to lock up and the muscles around my pelvis tighten.. im worried that maybe my abys head doesnt fit in my pelvis? head has been down in birth position but not engaged for quite some time now and it seems asif he or she is really trying to push down anyone else feel like this ?? xxx

hi im 34 weeks and feel exactly like this. my thighs tend to lock up when i get the pain in my belly and i get feelings low down like the baby is pushing with its head. im sure its nothing to worry about my mw doesnt seem concerned good luck with the birth x

Yes I had this. Horrible as I was almost disabled by the pain and 'cramp' in my legs. This lasted on and off for about 2 weeks and i'm sure it was the baby trying to get into position. To be honest this bit was worse than the actual birth because it went on for so long and I was afraid to go anywhere alone as I sometimes couldn't walk. Her head fit through just fine though and I had a straightforward labour so don't worry. Oh and she was born at 37 weeks so pack your bag!

glad im not alone lol bags hve been packed for weeks as everyone kept teling me how huge i was and that id never get to 40 weeks.. well im 37 weeks now and i seem to be hanging in there so far lol fingers crossed e r she doesnt come early nt that it would matter 2 much now but i havent finished the nursery yet!! haha xxx
