I've had two scans (less than a week apart) and both times the baby was upside down. It was kicking and the sonographer didn't say anything about the position it was in but I have another scan due soon and wondered if I should be worried if it's still upside down? Is this normal or is this a sign of something that I should be asking questions about?

What do you mean by upside down? Head down in your pelvis??? If so then that's the way it's supposed to be!

How pregnant are you? Babies shift position a lot so the fact they are one way up one minute doesn't mean they won't be another way up in a few minutes.

You do want them to be upside down by the time they come out

12 weeks first scan, 13 the second. And yes, the head was in my pelvis. So much so for the first scan that I had to shake it out so the sonographer could get a better look at it's head! I'm going for my 20 week scan soon and am just a bit worried that it might be still head down and would that be a problem?

There's still loads of room for them to move around at this stage.

If it is head down again when you have your next scan then I can't see why it should be a problem.
