it was so lovely to see our baby , very active and i asked if it was possible to see the sex and was told she thinks it is a girl but to wait until the 20 week scan to be sure. So exciting to actually see the little miricle kicking about it made it all so real. It was'nt a very comfortable experience though i was in there about an hour and was prodded and she really pressed hard when scanning, which hurt it feels like iv been kicked in the stomach and i had cramps for a while after. She said the baby was moving about so much it was difficult to get measurements which is why she took so long i persume. We have doctors doing research for kings college at our hospital so they took loads of measurements. Im booked in to go back at 20 weeks hope it doesnt take as long next time, but it was nice to see our little baby any way

Congrats . One should tell them when they are pressing too much. In my first pregnancy the sonographer was really annoyed that the baby was not "cooperating" and at one point kind of banged the thingy against my belly to make the baby move, I was so shocked that wanted to cry but didn't say anything. It hurted all day. In this pregnancy for the 12 week scan they had me over 1 hour but were sooo much gentle.
