I was just talking to my mum and she mentioned that when my sister gave birth she (my mum) had to take the bags to the car first as the hospital wouldn't let new mums leave at the same time as their bag...???

Does anyone know if this is a universal thing, and if so, why? My mum's intrigued!

Hospitals can't stop people leaving without a carseat.

There was a lady at our hospital recently with the wrong group car seat - a forward facing one fr older kids. We told her it wasn't right but she insisted it was and left. We even printed stuff off the internet showing it wasn't suitable until 9months but we couldn't stop her going.

They must just tell people that to scare them - I honestly believed them
