lower half of bump aching after standing for more than ten mins-will a support belt help?

am nearly 7 months, with a fairly small bump that has just appeared after being almost completely flat stomached until Xmas.

Trouble is, the lower half of my bump is aching like mad just about all the time, especially if I walk at all, even just around the supermarket. The only thing that eases it is too take all the weight off compleetly, by lying flat on my back with my knees up-not something I have much time for with a toddler, and not really a move for the Whole Foods aisle of Tescos either.

The pain is shooting all down the front of my thighs too-just like it does during period pains normally, and like it did during my back-to-back labour with DD.

Am due to see the MW next week anyway, but in the mean time, will a support belt help at all, or are they purely for back pain?

Thanks

It probably would if it's pain from the ligaments stretching, which it could well be.

It's worth checking to see you don't have a UTI though, apparently the usual symptoms are often absent in pregnancy and period type pain can be a clue.

I am 6 months and one week and have this I saw midwife today and she said if it gets any worse I may need a physio appt.

The pain is like a sharp stitch in bump if I walk a long way or am stood for a long time also pain in thighs and buttocks aswell.

I have found propping my legs up at night in bed does help for some odd reason but I need a really big firm cushion so have been taking the backrest cushion from an armchair and sleeping with my legs on that .

HTH.

im 8 months now but had these pains from about 6-7 months, it was awful when i was walking round shops or anyhting i would feel so achey like i just wanted 2 lie in the middle of the floor there and then.. it did ease off though.

Mention it to your mw though u may have a UTI, i had one last week and ended up in hospital with the pain it got that bad its important you dont leave an infection untreated xxx
