there was a backlog over xmas i heard, and that they are running 6 weeks behind. it ususally takes 6 weeks, so that 12 weeks in total.
pain, esp as u cant claim till u've not got that long left, but hopefully she'll get it b4 baby comes. if not they dont need much for the first month

surprisenumber3 · 09/02/2009 14:02

oh no, she'll be upset, she is relying on getting it in a couple of weeks I think!! She has to buy everything and her DH has just been put on short-time and she is 30 weeks

Will see her later, don't want to tell her now!

Thanks for the info though

I thought it was meant to be 2 weeks?

mummy2joshuarileyandbump · 09/02/2009 14:12

When i applied for mine with DS2 its took about 2 weeks, obviously there wasn't the xmas backlog but it deffo shouldnt take 6 weeks for them to sort it out, at least it shouldnt do anyway. If ur friend gives them a call they can tell you what date they are working to and should be able to gauge how long from there.

is it really 2 weeks? well took both of mine 6. maybe it was just london.

agree give them a call, they can let you know
