oh god - I felt like this with DC3 and couldn't keep my eyes open during the day, even when standing up.

DC3 turned out to be twins!

Maybe.....?

mummy2t · 09/02/2009 11:27

well i have already had a early scan and they did look for twins but could only see one bubba.

I have heard tell that every pregnancy is different (well that's what my DH tells me when we talk about having another one).
I was in bed everyday at 8pm for the first 3 months as well and had only one!

No two pregnancies are the same so I wouldn't worry solely on the basis it isn't like the other two.

How old are your DSs? Don't forget (as if you could) that you have two children to look after this time - thats enough to make you tired even when you aren't pregnant!

Are you able to eat properly? Perhaps your diet is making your sleepy, especially, if are like I was and you could only face carbs in the 1st trimester.

What about anaemia?

Congratulations btw. Hope you feel better soon?

ahh thanks, ds 1 is 5 and ds 2 is 1, i know they are young but they are so well behaved etc they dont really take any looking after! i am trying to at really well but i am constantly hungry so wondering whether or not i need more to eat for energy

Poor you! I was just the same. I have a DS (6) and a DD (3). I sailed throught both of those pregancies and loved being pregnant (I was probably annoyingly smug too!). I'm now almost 17 weeks pregnant and have felt absolutely rubbish since about week 6. Dreadful nausea, awful taste in my mouth and ridiculous tiredness. TBH the sickness stopped at about week 15 but I even now start to feel slightly nauseous when I get tired.

I have no idea what the reason is (in my case, it's not twins!). I've eaten well and been very careful with my supplements etc. I can only put it down to the fact that I am probably much more tired than I think and that I 'overdo' it in general looking after DS and DD, without really realising it. I'm sure it's the same with you, esoecially with a 1 year old!

Take care and look after yourself, and make sure you get lots of help. I don't know about you but I'm not very good at asking for it. I just tend to cope. This isn't a good time to be coping!

yeah i do tend to just get on with things instead of asking for help! hopefully it will subside soon and i will feel better. thanks for advice xxx
