Am sooooooo fed up. Have one cold after another since this year started and is really getting me down. Any reasons for this that I can tackle? Any magic remedies to prevent any more (apart from 'rest' and 'drink fluids'? Any sympathy? Am worried about going into labour feeling this run down and also what if I am full of colds once the baby is born - worried how will cope.

Since the beginning of September I think I've only had two weeks when I haven't had a cold or flu - I'm 34 weeks. I've been taking spatone, pregnacare and mumomega to no avail. Its awful isn't it. I've got a toddler to run after too.

Not much you can do, I think for me lack of sleep hasn't helped my immune system but I don't have much time to catch up with sleep during the day if you do then do rest as that has a major impact on immunity.

I was EXACTLY the same .... permanent colds, culminating in proper flu in January (which wiped me out for a full 2 weeks). I have felt progressively better since then (now 34 weeks), and perhaps it is because I have been taking (a) more iron (ferasday - taking one tablet one day, and two tablets the next - on doctor's advice) and (b) 2000mg per day of vitamin C.

Also - I wash my hands manically (to avoid bugs) and really try to avoid others with heavy colds ..... I am just so sick of having colds/flu, and it is so hard when you are pregnant and chasing after toddler as well.

Good luck - hope this might help???
