amnio and miscarage

Hi all,

I'm due to have a amnio tomorrow as i've tested 1/60 for DS. Can anyone advise what it's like to go through one and if they have been unfortunate enough to miscarry or not - hopefully the latter.

I telephoned my midwife and she said it would be unrelated, advised me to contact my GP sooner rather than later. I gonna see how i go today then get an appt if i need to.

Good for you, phoning the MW. I've found it's always better to be reassured than worry. I hope you get the result soon and that it's good news.

regroo, nope, no lose bowels here after amnio - not v pleasant, I am sure, but I would imagine unrelated to amnio (LOL at dr washing hands - you'd blardy well hope so ).
Get yourself checked out if it persists.

We have just had the best news ever - all are results have come back clear!!!!!! Have still gor to give my husband the good news as he's in a meeting.

I am so relieved and happy.
