I'm 30 weeks and the baby's movements are very violent - should I be concerned?

I've been told to monitor movements very closely because I had a scan to assess growth the other day and they were a little concerned about the pressure of blood flow from the placenta...

Could you ring the midwife? I would if it were me. Hope all is fine xx

Any change in the baby's movements needs to be checked.

Flightattendant12 · 07/02/2009 21:07

Was the blood flow too fast or too slow?

Flightattendant12 · 07/02/2009 21:13

Hope you are ringing them now.,

Violent movement especially if it has suddenly happened, can be a sign that baby is in distress - I wouldn't ignore it just in case. please let us know if you are Ok x

normally i would say 'oh i wouldnt worry' but if you have been asked to monitor movements then calling would be a good idea

Thanks Well I went on the monitor last night and the baby seemed to be ok then, so fingers crossed. I didn't feel like going at all because I'm ill but figured I should and I suppose it's always important to get checked out.
