Very worried. Have had a mmc and a mc in the past although I also have 2 lovely dc.

I had this with ds1 and was told it was probably an implantation bleed. Is it just a little bit?

Sails · 07/02/2009 20:05

Try not to worry. Brown blood is old blood. If you get any more, or it turns red, give NHS direct a call.

soon2befamilyof4 · 07/02/2009 20:22

Yes I think old blood is brown.

brettgirl2 · 08/02/2009 09:50

I had bleeding for weeks at the start of my pg. However, I would definitely advise getting it checked out to make sure everything is OK.

snickersnack · 08/02/2009 09:55

I had this with dd from 8 weeks to about 10 weeks. NHS Direct said it was fine, and only to worry if it turned red or got heavier.

troutpout · 08/02/2009 09:55

try not to worry
i had brown blood at 4 weeks, 8 weeks and 12 weeks of pg with ds
if it turns red call your gp

linspins · 08/02/2009 10:52

Quite a few Mums I know had bleeding in pg and went on to have lovely little babies. But if you get any more bleeding, do get checked out as this will put your mind at rest. It'd worth the hassle just to know all was well. Fingers crossed. xx

Is it possible to self-refer to your local EPU? If so, it's probably worth doing just for peace of mind.

Sails · 08/02/2009 21:46

The bleeding has got worse today and not brown but red. I'm having to wear a pad. Rang the emergency dr who referred me to a gynae ward at our local hospital who have arranged for me to have a scan on tuesday. I also bled in this pregnancy at about 4 weeks but I didn't know I was pregnant then.

You must be very worried and . I can't be any help as I'm a PG novice but am sending you good luck thoughts xx

jabberwocky · 09/02/2009 14:38

Try to rest as much as you can until the scan. I had a little bleeding with ds1 adn it is very scary. I hope everything is OK.

Sails · 09/02/2009 19:47

I lost the baby over night and into today. Without going into too many details there is no doubt about that. The ward have asked me to keep my apoitment tomorrow which I will.
