Just took the test about an hour ago, haven't even told DH yet. He's been unemployed a few months due to a redundancy and I don't know how he'll take the news. We already have a DD who's almost 2 years old.

I was on the pill and took it religiously! I'm a mixture of emotions - happy, worried...

Congratulations! I am sure your DH will be happy about the news in spite of his recent bad luck. You need to tell him so you're not going through this alone! xx

CarGirl · 07/02/2009 12:05

Congratulations!

being positive you will probaby be eligible for the £500 sure start maternity grant & enhanced tax credits!

It's easier to be brassic when your children are young and closish in age.

insertwittynicknameHERE · 07/02/2009 12:09

Congratulations

Do tell you DH I am sure he will be delighted to be a dad again.

I also agree with cargirl it is easier to be brassic when they are young.

varicoseveined · 07/02/2009 12:30

Thanks everyone!

The trouble is, just a month or so ago we agreed to put off trying again until next year.

Oh well, will tell him tonight that I'm a few days late... wish me luck!

Good luck

mrsdisorganised · 07/02/2009 12:37

Good luck...it will work out

BrownEyedMum · 07/02/2009 13:30

If only a month ago you were talking about trying for another one then surely he will be delighted, if a little surprised that it has happened so soon. (Just boost his ego a bit - tell him it's cos he's got such good swimmers!) Like CarGirl said you'll be entitled to all sorts of financial help if that is worrying you - and besides, a lot can change in 8 months.

Please report back on how it goes tonight, but like everyone said congratulations!

NAB09 · 07/02/2009 13:31

Just tell him you are pregnant. He did have a part in it!

soon2befamilyof4 · 07/02/2009 14:52

Congratulations! For what it's worth, I was in the same situation as you - but my DD was only 6 months old! I had been taking the mini pill and was still exclusivly breastfeeding. Was so scared to tell DH but he was fine and our baby is due in 10 weeks. Good Luck.

newmumof2 · 07/02/2009 15:01

congratulations! always look for the gift in adversity

ilovemydogandMrObama · 07/02/2009 15:02

Babies are always good news

varicoseveined · 07/02/2009 15:29

Told him. He's over the moon! Shocked but over the moon

Just a bit cautious as it's early days but I feel a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
