Ooo pinkbum I'm due on the 21st April too and live in Glasgow. Will watch this thread with interest. Is it on at the SECC?

scotlass · 06/02/2009 17:29

I'm thinking it'll be a good day out walking around if we go over our date. I went to the scottish garden festival when I was 3 days over with DD 10yrs ago and went into labour that night!

I'm booked in with the PRMH. Think we're having a boy but consultant wasn't prepared to say it was a definate - did say she was sure she could see a willy and balls though. I can't get away from the thought it's another girl as we're not great at producing boys in our family. How old is your DD?

geordieminx · 06/02/2009 20:01

My ds was born in May 2007, I went to the one just before he was born, it was a nice wee jolly out, quite a few freebies - 100's of pots of sudocrem that we still havent got through

I went last year and was really disappointed - hardly any freebies, and no real discounts on anything.

I know a few people who have stands, there were a lot of complaints last year, so maybe it will be better again? I wouldnt hold out on buying anything though, there are better discounts to be had online IMO than there - although there are lots of stalls full of pointless crap essentials that you will just have to buy, because thats what you do

Yeah they walking waddling about could be a good idea lol but would rather be carring baby around at it lol! (i'm hoping to go early)

My Dds are 9 and 8 so big gap!

Geordieminx thats good to know,i think online is prob best place for deals. thanx

My DD is 9 too so I am also of the big gap! Fingers crossed we're pushing our LO's round it.

I got a really great deal on a bugaboo cam package at the glasgow pram centre by surfing the web and asking them to price match. I saved ££££££'s.

Pinkbump3 · 06/02/2009 23:03

Ooh i have been looking at the bugaboo but i just cant decide what kind of pram i want i was in the glasgow pram centre looking and the only pram that i sort of liked was the mutsy urban rider. Going to have to spend a day out testing diff prams to see if i like any others! ugh! i really have to get sorted lol.

its sort of scary starting over again with a huge gap between dds. One day im really excited and the next im a wreck!

Pinkbump, I went to last years, didn't seem to be too much in the way of huge discounts or anything, but it was ok. Might see you in the RAH though, lol, am due on 24th of April, and will be giving birth there, and to another girl as well!

needsomesleepplease · 16/02/2009 21:37

I went 2 yrs ago and it was a waste of money (not cheap to get into), you are better of serching the net for what you want and the get Glasgow Pram cent to price match. the only things that were different from all the shops cost a fortune and you will prob only use once or twice!
