I am gearing up to ttc and can't face the terrible morning sickness. Has anyone tried B6 at this level and found it has helped MS? mood? general stickiness of the bean?

It seems to be a very popular at this dosage in the States, but here, not so much.

Any info much appreciated.

Thanks
xx

I had no idea...I was taking it will ttc but then stopped when I got my BFP a couple of weeks ago because I was worried about taking too much.....whilst taking it my moods improved though.....now I have VERY bad morning sickness.....should I start taking it again? Am taking a pregnancy multivit as well...what do you think?

That is why I didn't take it before but actually from the research I have done, albeit all via the internet, it seems to really help morning sickness, and lower the risk of MC. It's just that this seems to be all in the States not here.

There have been concerns in the UK about dosages but in fact you are ok taking it up to doses of 100mg apparently and that has been aknowledged. The numbness only starts when you take at lest that much over a long period of time. I figured that 50 for up to 3 months or even 9 couldn't be at all bad. If it is a bit of a miracle cure, which it seems to be from readind american threads - then I wonder why the UK hasn't really jumped on the bandwagon...

I'm not sure if it really is a US/UK thing, but has seemed that way to me.

only 10mg in a preg vit. Personally I think I will take it again. Have read a lot about it and have read nothing to suggest it could harm you or the bambino x

I had been taking about 200mg a day while TTC to lengthen a short LP. Once I got pregnant, I dropped it down to about 50 - I didn't have full-fledged MS, just lots of nausea, so I really couldn't say if it had any effect.

thanks lbot - loving the name! i think the nausea is the worst part actually. at least when you chunder there is some respite! I am also going to try acupuncture fwiw. clearly NOT the miracle cure from what you say...

For me it was an absolute miracle, I went from being so ill with morning sickness I couldn't even keep water down. I took the first dose and never looked back. I still felt a bit sick but nothing like before. However, I did play about with the dosage as I always concerned me.
