Brown Discharge for a Week can anyone help

I have had brown discharge now for a week, went for scan last Friday and they said I was approx 5-6 weeks, and had to go back in a week to see if it has a heartbeat, had a m/c 6 months ago and paranoid as this is how I started last time, could anyone tell me if they have experienced the same

I had this in all three of my pregnancies - had two healthy babies and one miss. The main difference was that I had cramping with the bleeding when I misscarried.

Such a horrible scary time. Got my fingers crossed for you, but it is not always bad news.

Thanks for that, my last m/c had the brown discharge, not much pain just uncomfortable, lost it about 7 weeks so I am fearing the worst, maybe a little paranoid, just hope I can make it through until Friday for my next scan.

I had same - m/c first time at 7 weeks after week brown discharge. Next time had same again but DS is now 2 years old and they think it was cervical bleeding.

Good luck and fingers crossed. Sadly there is nothing you can do other than look after yourself and IMO, rest up, relax until your scan as much as you can.

Actually stopped today, so fingers crossed everything is ok.

Hi with my 1st M/C I had brown spotting none stop and MMC at 7 weeks, 2nd M/C I had brown spotting at 8 1/2wks went to A&E who scanned me and MMC at 7wks again, im pregnant again and spotted before I found out I was pg at 4wks and then again at 5weeks, I went for a scan and no heartbeat as it was too early but sac measurements were correct, went back 2 weeks later and seen heartbeat for 1st time ever (truly amazing), I had more spotting after ths but MW put it down to cervical erosion from internal scan, had no bleeding since and im hoping (but very very scared)for a positive 12 wk scan on 16th, I have very strong pg symptoms, sore boobs and lots of sickness so im hoping this is a good sign.

I went to the toilet last night & found a brown discharge. Same again this morning with clots. Slight pain but nothing severe. I'm 8 weeks into my 1st pregnancy & panicking. Wot should I do? My 1st midewife appointment is Monday. Do i wait till then?

Jude, sorry to hear you're having this worry. Do you have a number for your local early pregnancy unit? Can you call them to see if they're open. Ours doesn't open at the weekend so they might suggest you go to A&E. Personally I've had two mc's so I'd wait and see what happens, but I totally understand with your first pregnancy it's a worrying time. Good luck x
