I was wondering when you have had your MW appointment? i'm 10 weeks and havent heard anything from the MW, i called her about 3 weeks ago and she said she would be in touch but as it is gettin close to 12 weeks scan time, i'm gettin a little worried. My past 2 pg's I saw her at about 8 weeks.
Last pg she booked me in for scan over the phone as had to see consultant (previously had a section) but not sure if I will have to do that this time as had a VD but did have 5 unexplained convulsions (pre-eclampsia was ruled out). My mum and I were talking about when it comes to me giving birth will i be having a section but i said i didnt want to have one but she said they may want me to have one due to the fits...she would also prefer me to have one as she is really afraid of this happening again ans i end up having a stroke or something
I really want to discuss this with my MW asap but dont want to bug her!
hope this makes sense lol

I think you should call again - although in many places the booking appointment happens at 12 weeks, they do tend to get booked up so it would make sense to book now even if she doesn't want to see you until then.

Have you got your scan booked? If not, definitely chase that up as the timing is a bit more critical - if they do a nuchal scan in your area (not all do though) it has to be done before 13w5d or something like that, so best to ensure it's booked at the right time.

Give her a call back and don't worry about bugging her

Try and call her back, mine didn't pick up her phone for ages, then told me she would get back to me, in the end I called the midwife centre who said she had quit, then the receptionist had a go at ME for not booking an appointment earlier

I made my booking appointment with the MW through my doctor's surgery but they were all full up so the date i was given was after 12 weeks. i was a bit concerned about this as thought then i might have to wait a few weeks after that for the scan so i got the MWs phone number from doctor and phoned her directly. She was great and made an appointment to come and do it at my house at about 8 or 9 weeks and got my scan on time.

I would phone her again. Dont worry about bugging them - it's their job!

I think you need to get to see her asap. I also made my booking appointment through the normal gp reception. Didn't go through the midwife.
You will need to be under consultant care as well so tht needs to be sorted also to arrange a plan of care nin view of a previous cs and the fits.
I'd give them a ring now if I was you.

Ok have just tried calling the midwife but unfortunately she is ill, she has left a msg on her mobile saying not to leave a msg and to call the hossie but i think that msg is for those who are iminently due to give birth. I have sent her a text msg but dont really no what to do next
Although i had a scan at what i thought was 6 weeks at the EPU (i was actually 8 weeks) this was due to pains and cramping and thankfully all is well...or was at that point anyway.
