I have just tested positive and am about 3 wks now. I have had some lower backpains and abdominal pains (moreo n the left side) for 2 weeks and now the back pain is worse. No bleeding yet - has anyone else experienced this? Thanks

DEar Grommit, have no advice unfortunately, but hope things are alright.
Have you seen a gp?

hi grommit when i was pregnant with my dd i never did a pregnancy test till i was about 2 and a half weeks late. this was because i had such terrible abdominal and back pain that i was convinced i was going to get my period (i do get quite bad period pain). everything turned out fine so try not to worry perhaps have a word with your doc. hope this helps

Hi grommit, I was the same as robyn3, with ds I didn't do a test for ages as the pains I was having indicated to me that my period was on its way. This time too, I had them but was less anxious as I knew from ds what to expect!

I had abdominal pains too, they felt just like period pains, the sort I used to get as a teenager. I was sent for a scan when I was about 6 weeks just to make sure it wasn't an ectopic pregnancy as I was waking up at night in incredible pain! But all was well. No back pain though, but it's different for every woman. You could see your GP and request a scan anyway, just to put your mind at rest.
