NCT classes

Hello!

I'm due 24 July and have just inquired about NCT classes with our local branch. DH and I are keen to take a long course as we feel that would give us a good opportunity to meet other couples, but the only course in our area finishes the week I'm due (ie, the Monday course finishes 20 July, the Tuesday on the 21, etc). Is that too close to my due date or would you just take the class anyway?

thanks!

It is pretty close to your due date (and from memory they dont refund if you do miss part of the course) but I'd take it anyway - 2 of my friends from the NCT class gave birth part way through the course and we're still all good friends (one of the main benefits of doing a local NCT class).

I'd go ahead and take the course - as you say you are doing it primarily to meet other couples anyway. First babies are often late too!

Great, thanks! That's what we were leaning towards, but I thought I'd ask here. I'd hate to take a class that was further away just to get the dates right and then to have all my "new friends" live in a different postcode!
