Im not getting the response that I thought from the thread that I put on the ttc part. So I was wondering if any ladies would like to share their story to me. I love hearing success stories. It always renews my hope and faith. Thank you so much!

please can you stop posting multiple threads asking the same question, use one thread, and keep it bumped.

if you bump it several times a day, then lots of people will see and reply.

there are several threads already running about clomid, you might want to read some of those too

I was just informed about that.. Like I said just a minute ago... that I was sorry and that I didnt know. But now I do. Thank you.

BrandyBaby · 29/01/2009 21:11

Not sure whether to post on this thread or not but anyway, in answer to your question -

I am 34 weeks pregnant with dc2, conceived on my first month of clomid at 50mg. That said, I didn't have any obvious problems - had conceived very easily twice before but lost the second pregnancy and then had unexplained infertility. The consultant said I could try clomid 'although it probably wouldn't work as it would not give me any extra advantage' and I conceived. I suspect if may have been psychological but that's fine by me !

Thank you! Im so happy for you... thts great. Do you remember whats days you were taking clomid? How early did you know that you were pregnant?

Took clomid days 2-6. Probably ovulated around day 15 or 16 (about normal for me though). I suspected I was pregnant (for no real reason) on day 28, took a ebay cheapie test which had the faintest of faint lines - i.e you had to hold it to the light and after 2 years of not conceiving I thought I was kidding myself. Still had a feeling the next day, did a first response which came up very dark within seconds. That seems a loooong time ago !

BrandyBaby · 29/01/2009 21:39

thats just great! on the first try to.. good for you! boy or girl?

when i took the 50mg i was so moody, sick, and emotional! but on 100mg im just emotional.

Don't know what sex. DD (4) wants a sister but we'll be happy whatever.

Sorry you're not feeling well on it. I was basically fine - felt a bit funny on the 2nd or 3rd day but otherwise ok.

Good luck ! BTW, I have a friend who did 3 months on 50mg, didn't work, 3 months on 100mg and it worked on the 3rd month of 100mg (in fact, I think it worked that way for her twice).

BrandyBaby · 29/01/2009 21:56

Thank you! That put a smile on my face to hear that! my doctor gave me a 4 month supply of the 100mg. She said if nothing happens after that, then i have to go see fertility doctor. So im praying it wont have to go that far. Is your frieds children all heathly? Does the dosage of clomid effect the baby at all.. does it?

Hi
Thought I would reply to you following the first quite harsh response!

I took clomid in for my first pregnancy and got pregnant on the 3rd cycle. Following that I got pregnant quite quickly by accident as I thought I would need to take it again! !

I am now pregnant with my 3rd baby! Prengnacy 2 and 3 were without clomid, it seems it all sorted me out and here I am!

Good luck I hope it goes well for you. I don't think the dosage affects the baby, my little boy is now a strapping 7 year old. xx

Thats so great! Thank you for your story. Do you remember what dosage you were on? And what days you took them? From the few woman I have heard from.. it seems that clomid jump starts the system!

Hi, I can't remember, it was all pretty standard though. I do know I wasn't on the lowest dose but still quite a low one.

Once I had my ds I really thought we would have to go through it all again, but intead I took a herb called Agnus castus to try and regulate my periods again and before I knew it I was pregnant without trying.

To reassure you even more, with this one I got pregnant on the first month of trying even though I am that much older!

I really hope it works for you. have you tried combining it with accupuncture. I am a firm believer in accupunture and I know that the lady who does mine sees a lot of people using it to help them.

How long have you been taking it for?

xx

Hello! How early were you able to tell that you were pregnant? I was on clomid 50mg for 4 months, then two months I took a break. This is the first month on clomid 100mg. So Im hoping and praying everyday. Thank you for your story.

Do you really think that accupuncture helps with pregnancy?

Just thought I'd add my two-penneth worth!

My 'clomid' baby is now 11 years old! I'm afraid I can't remember dosage or timings or anything like that (it was a long time ago!) He is extremely healthy and bright and always has been.

I have since gone on to have two more children without clomid and am currently pregnant with number 4

Hi

I found out I was pregnant in a very strange way! I went for an internal scan a couple of days before my period was due, and as it was an internal I asked the chap doing it if it would be ok if I was pregnant. (the scan was just to check that all looked ok inside, why it was done then I don't know,it was nothing to do with the clomid)

The guy did the scan and then showed me my picture and that of a 'normal' one. (At which point i freaked out as I thought there was something wrong with me!!) He obviously didn't want to tell me I was pregnant so told me on the way out to stop at the pharmacy to get a test, bless him! Did a test and got a very faint positive.

I will never forget it and the look on dh face when he asked how the scan went and I said "like this" and showed him the test!

Yes I do believe that accupunture is of huge help in pregnancy, both ttc and once pregnant. I still have it once a month without fail.

Keep me informed, when is af due? Fingers and toes crossed for you xxxxx

BrandyBaby · 01/02/2009 01:11

Thank you... I will try that!

If anyone has a clomid story that they would like to share? that would be so wonderful. I have been taking clomid some time now. (4 months 50mg on days 5-9? 1 month 100mg on days 3-7, and this month 100mg on days 1-5) I?m getting a little discouraged because I do know why I am not getting pregnant. Does anyone think the days I?m taking the dosage is perhaps the reason?
Please let me know what you think.
