hi
I am 36+4
about 2 weeks ago i went to the atenatal daycare unit because I had had a bit of spotting when i wiped, when they checked the said they couldnt see any evidence of bleeding and one midwife was quite snotty about it making out like I had made the whole thing up!

anyway the last week I have had a little bit more spotting - its just a few streaks of blood mixed in with normal discharge which has been a little heavier although i dont think its my plug its too thin. I have also had pain on the inside around my cervix and a sore irritated feeling on the outside which is annoying. (sorry tmi)

I have a normal midwife appointment tomorrow and wondered if i should mention it again.
If i do what will she do? will i need another internal will she be able to do it for me in the doctor surgery or would i have to go the hospital again?

I really dont want to go back after the way the midwife in the hospital spoke to me last time i was quite upset (pathetic i know)

does anyone have an idea what this could be?

You should certainly mention it tomorrow. It might be something and nothing. I bled loads in my 1st pg due to cervical erosions.

Have you had any before? Also, are you rhesus negative? If you are it is really important you get this checked as you may need an AntiD jab.

you might have a cervical erosion which is not dangerous but can cause spotting partic. after sex

you must always mention any bleeding/ spotting especially of red blood in pregnancy

speak to your regualr midwife tomorrow and let her know how you felt when the other midwife dismissed your worries

sometimes thrush can cause this sort of irritation and spotting so mention it to your midwife and she can check for this - very easy to treat

thanks I did think thrush but ive never had it before so i wasnt sure!. I will def mention it then and hopefully i will be able to get something to help

thanks for your replies - its hard to know when something is worth mentioning in pregnancy isnt it!
