I literally can't do my job. It's like doing a jigsaw with sheepskin mittens on - my brain is trying to fit pieces of tasks together and then my mind just goes blank.

Like building a tower of playing cards and the table disappears - I just can't string thoughts together, follow any sort of process or organise myself.

HELP!

I've eaten properly today, even forced a cup and a half of coffee down myself (eww, sicky - but I used to be a ten cup a day girl!).

Will this keep getting worse? I'm only 12ish weeks and feel like a complete and utter spare PART.

At least I can take messages off the phone, though I may be offending people by asking them to spell their names (since I don't remember them for more than 2 seconds) "J-O-N-E-S!" er... thanks!

In my last pregnancy I completely lost the ability to multi-task and my job required that as a basic skill! I'm afraid to say this lasted the whole pregnancy.

This time round since coming back part-time after maternity leave two years ago, my job responsibilities are sooooo mundane I don't even notice the lack of brain cells as I haven't had to use them.

That could be a whole other thread about working part-time, being unofficially demoted and being made to feel like a waste of space.

I digress.....

Don't worry, I felt like that for the first trimester but felt much better after about 13 weeks. I am currently 17 weeks and feel back to normal.

Well I guess it could go either way!

Pretty bad day brain wise- horrid dizzy spells from teatime onwards. If I was drunk I could take it, but this is just frustrating.

Nothing like this first time round, was feet on ground and head in toilet. Toss up as to which is worse.
