I'm going for a scan next Tuesday so they can assess everything. Has anyone else experienced this and what was outcome. Thanks for reading! x

My DS stopped growing (according to growth scans) at 38 38 weeks so they induced me immediately. He was fine, 6 pounds 2oz.

Good luck with your scan.

I had 2 with IUGR (intra uterine growth retardation) -I'm just not very good at growing babies! first was born full term just less than 6lbs so was labelled "small for dates", second was very prem for unrelated reasons. Both fine now!! At 36+ weeks you are practically "cooked" now anyway so even if they say have the baby now it really should be OK - Good Luck!

Me too - DS stopped growing in the last month, they did nothing, nobody was unduly concerned, and I had an 40+5 baby weighing 6lb!

This happened to a friend of mine, though, and she was very stressed and scared, sent for scans, consultants not available, monitoring, scare stories about miniature damaged babies... I duly posted my preemie babygros for her in anticipation of this minuscule baby. She had a baby boy 2 weeks ago, term, and he weighed a healthy 6.15, the babygros were too small, so they were all talking bllcks.

Some women seem to just grow small babies! They're cuter, IMO!

I have a 3yr old son who weighed 8lb 1 oz 40+6 which I consider a good weight. I think that I prob just expected to have something similar this time. Just a wee bit scary and worrying as I know that babies, although not all, are supposed to be bigger second time around. Thanks you for all your advise girlies xxx

In my first pregnancy my bump stoppped growing a little earlier than yours. I was told not to worry becasue some people "carry differently". When DD was born she was 3lb 12oz. I wish I had gone with my gut instict and insisted on further/later scans. This prgnancy I will be given growth scans fortnightly in latter months.

Always worth getting it checked out!!!
