I've had a headache for the last two days, manageable with paracetamol, but today could not get out of bed it was so awful. My neck aches, my whole head is throbbing and it is similar to a migraine as it goes into my eyes and movement/light is making it worse. I've only just got up and the dc are home from school because I was too badly in pain to take them.

Is there something that could be causing this? I've tried drinkign lots of fluids to combat and still think I am possibly not quite hydrated enough as I am waking thirsty and gulping the drink I have by my bed.

Bumping for you.

Thanks.

It has just about gone now. Children are climbing the walls though. I had to take Paracetamol Extra to cure though which I was quite about but is all the nearest shop had. I only have nurofen because I NEVER get headaches usually and I found those at the back of the cupboard.

I have exactly the same problem at the moment and Im 20+5, its really horrible and even though Im drinking lots of fluid I still find myself dehydrated at times. I am going to ask the MW tomorrow at my appointment. Hope you feel better soon.

I am in the same boat. I am almost 16 weeks and have been suffering for a week or so. I had migraines for years and eventually got rid of them with the help of accupuncture but they are back and pretty much constant.

hobbgoblin It could be that you are anaemic? How many weeks are you? Low iron levels can cause headaches. Also they say to get some exercise...hard when your head is pounding, but some suggest a brisk walk. I would speak to your GP about it as it sounds bad.

I have an appointment with mine on friday. Do you know how much paracetamol is safe to take?

Hope you feel better soon

have similar problem but not as bad.Spoke to mw she said its common in 2nd trimester. I'm 18+2. My blood pressure and urine samples were ok. I am susceptible to headaches normally tho these are more like migranes...also got some nose bleeds although not bad.
