Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to ask any of you who've had to take metronidazole in early pregnancy?
The doctor says it's perfectly safe to take in pregnancy but I'm so nervous esp as I had 2 m/c's last year.
Also, I was told by one doctor that Bacterial Vaginosis can be harmful in terms of having a pre-term baby - NOT m/c, but then another doctor said it can be linked with m/c AND a pre-term baby!!
I'm getting two conflicting messages here, any feedback?
BTW, had a scan yesterday coz of my med history and coz I've had mild cramping and there are two sacs (twins) but only one with a visible yolk sac and heartbeat. They're not sure of the second so going back in 9 days (and counting) to see what that one's doing.
Thanks anyone who can give me some reassuring info. xx

Sometimes with scans its hard to see everything in there, or the other twin may be a day or 2 behind the bigger one, or may have just been a sac always iyswim - so you will have a singleton.

I know that BV is linked to pre-term labour; not too sure about mc. As long as oyur medicine is prescribed i would trust it.

Really good luck for your scan, and congrats!
