Pains in my 'undercarriage' <snurk>

I am 12 weeks and having the usual ligament pains. I have now got draggy pains in my undercarriage, specifically my left flap . I do have a prolapse and do suffer with dragging feelings near the end of my pregnancies, but not this early? I am having to sit down as it bloody hurts!

Mention it to your midwife. I've had this but at the end of my pregnancies and post partum too.
Maybe its the prolapse?

suwoo · 27/01/2009 13:53

i am 32 weeks and i have exact same thing! I try to describe to DH that it feels like magnets dragging my bits down! He tells me thats too much info! I havent mentioned it to my midwife as i have spd and just assumed it was all part of that.

Lulumama · 27/01/2009 13:58

dragging pains could be to do with all sorts of things, not least yer 'ormones !! it might be a vulval varicosity.. sit down as much as you can, and do mention it at your next appointment, or before if it gets worse, you might find a maternity pad in your kncikers sort of supports the area and helps you feel a bit better.

poor you

suwoo · 27/01/2009 13:58

Funny you should say that ellen, I have spd too and have noticed it kicking in already. Bastard fanjo .

Lulumama · 27/01/2009 14:00

(As ds once said to me) My eyes, my eyes! My beautiful eyes!

suwoo · 27/01/2009 14:20

Right in all seriousness......I have checked and there is a very prominent vein in my left flap . I do remember my gynaecologist mentioning this in my last pregnancy now I think about it. It is not bulging though, its just there. I can't believe all this is starting at 12 weeks....God help me at 39 weeks

The pain is actually making me say ow out loud now, its bloody killing! Need paracetemol methinks.

OP posts:
suwoo · 27/01/2009 14:26

Where've you all gone in my time of need?

OP posts:
MrsJoeMcIntyre · 27/01/2009 14:27

You and your flaps.

suwoo · 27/01/2009 14:30

Do I know you??????

You just wait til Saturday, I'll bloody show you .

OP posts:
MrsJoeMcIntyre · 27/01/2009 14:31

Heaven save us. Come with me tomorrow night and show Donnie, I bet he'd love to see your flaps.

Have you taken the paracetomol???

youknownothingofthecrunch · 27/01/2009 14:32

Take some paracetemol and try to keep off your feet. Can you sit with your feet up? It'll take the pressure off.
