I have just found out I'm pregnant and I think I'm about 7 weeks, I've had some fairly light spotting over the last week and a half along with the occasional twinge. I have found all the info in previous threads really helpful and can see that spotting appears to be quite normal, though i am really panicing that I have damaged my baby by drinking and smoking whilst not knowing i was pregnant. I hadn't realised my period was so late as they have been quite erratic since coming off the pill and I'm completely paranoid now that I'm going to miscarry. Has anyone else been in a similar situation?

Thanks

I'm sure you'll be fine - I drank (rather heavily in early pg (as with you, before I knew I was pg), and had spotting - all fine (he's nearly 5 now!)
Have you let your doctor/mw know you've been spotting? You'll probably be refered for an early scan (there are usually Early Pregnancy Units which cater specifically for pregnancies under 12 weeks). They can check things out for you & give you some reassurance. not sure how early they can see anything useful, but think 7 weeks probably fine.

Congratulations on your pregnancy , btw
