Ok, well I hope this isn't too weird or gross to post but I have been left wondering.

Last night I felt my insides (IYKWIM) for the first time since I had my coild removed. My cervix feels significant lower and it feels like there is an orange behind it pressing to get out. My cervix seems to be perched on top of this large ball.

I don't remember this when I had my DD.

I have still have a very bad backache...

Is the orange (as I am now calling it) normal???

Hi Pie, Have to admit I've never felt inside myself while pg - a bit paranoid, but I would imagine it would feel different. Aren't you about 12 weeks now? Well you do have a little ball in there. Funny how you describe it as an orange. My pg books always use fruit to illustrate the point (apparently 21 weeks is a large banana). Week 11 they describe as a large lime and week 13 is a large peach. So I'm sure what you feel is normal

Yes it is Pie. It is the uterus you are feeling.

I was hoping you would say that Mears!!!

One more question as I'm only 11 1/2 weeks will to protrude more or reach an optimum? It is already feeling a little crowded down there!

From 12 weeks onwards the uterus starts to lift out of the pelvis so it shouldn't get any more crowded
