I hate the dog

I'm 10 weeks pregnant and i can't stand my boyfriends dog. She annoyed me before i was pregnant but the last few weeks i cant have her near me, or want her in the house. Its driving me crazy and my partner is deeply upset at the whole situation.

Has anyone had any feelings like this, or can explain why i might be feeling like this?

I ADORED my dogs and cats. I even had the tiny dog in my bed (I know yuk but I was grieving for my DD). As soon as I got pregnant with DS3 I could not stand to have any of them near me. I have never felt quite the same about them since. Its very sad. I still care for them and they are happy (well I only have one doggie left).

Its all very odd as I have animals all my life and used to work for the RSPCA.

Phew, thought i was going crazy :-). Its really strange, and hate my partner going near her either!

It was the dirt and germs with me. The thought of touching their dirty coats and spit YUK! Considering only months before I was happily cuddling them - its all a bit strange.

I have 3 cats and 2 dogs which are my babies i love them as much now at 9 weeks pregnant than i every did in fact i think im giving them more attention because i feel guilty they might be jealous when the baby is born,

logan - I was like that when I was pg with DD. I had a dog that I adored! I felt the same about him all through pg and beyond. I did stop him going on the furniture though.

My last pg was the first time it has happend. I think its connected to my thing about dirt that I only developed during DD's illness. I cant think why else it shouldve happened. I think its sad. I am more affectionate with my remaining doggie now though so maybe its wearing off.
