I'm 23 weeks pregnant and i woke up this morning and was feeling faint, dizzy, shaky and very weak. I thought that i maybe needed something to eat or drink but that hasn't improved anything. Should i be worried and call the doctors? My sister thinks it could possibly be low blood pressure. Has anyone experienced this?

try NHS direct first, these do sound like symptoms of low blood pressure. it is better to get it checked out than to do nothing.

How has your blood pressure been during this pregancy? Have you had a chance to rest? Have you been ill at all, overdoing things, stressed out?

I do think you should phone your doctor or midwife.

Oh yes..I think lots of people have. It wouldn't hurt to give the midwives a call.

I haven't had any problems so far with my blood pressure, haven't had any more stress than usual & been resting plenty. Pregnancy has been fairly straight forward apart from just being overly tired throughout.

That's good. Still think you should phone someone for advice.

Thank you. I'm on the phone to them now so shall see what they say. x

Doctor would like to see me and will refer me onto the midwife if he thinks it's pregnancy related.
