Oh my goodness, I am getting the most painful cramp ever when in bed. It wakes me up and I litterally wake up screaming as it is such a shock! I know that probably makes me sound like a wimp, but it is soooo painful. I had it last time with DD and it became everyday.

Andbody got any cures? or Tips? I am so tired as it is without being woken up by cramp?!

According to my lovely NCT teacher bananas and milk are good to drink. DP made me a banana milkshake every day and I never suffered from it and other NCT ladies also found it helped them.

i used to get this in my last pregnancy- used to happen when i was stretching my feet in bed (pointing the toes). It could sometimes be averted when I felt it starting by very quickly flexing my feet back the other way. Failing that try and flex your foot anyway (or get your partner/dh to do it for you) and massage your calf at the same time.
Sympathy, it is sooooo painful...it used to still hurt when i woke up the next morning sometimes...

I tried the banana and milk last time with no help. I currently have (chocolate) milk in the evening anyway but not a banana. Will get some when I go shopping.

Meant to say, the pain is in my calf muscles and still hurts afterwards, so I have constant sore muscles.

tonic water, a glass before bed.

Mag Phos tablets (can get from health food stores) clear up my cramp brilliantly - bananas, milk, quinine didnt even touch the sides but a few of this tiny tables on the tongue sorted it right out.

Really dinky? That sounds good. Is "mag phos" what I ask for then? As long as DD actually sleeps tonight and gets up in the morning, we are going into town in the morning to go to the liberary so can go to the health shop then. Will write it on my shopping list.

Thanks

The full name on the bottle is Magnesium Phosphate Biochemic tissue salts - hope they do the trick for you too!
