Unstable lie at 38 weeks. Baby turning from breech to head down every other day. Is this a bad sign?

I have just returned from my last appt with my mw, as i am booked in for an elective cs in 7 days time. The worry i have is that my baby is still very very active, moving all the time, and also, moves between breech and head down each day. Due to few probs have had 4 examinations over last week and each time the baby has been in a different position. Is this constant movement and flipping around at this late stage a problem? I thought that the baby's movements were supposed to slow down by now. All the movement is not a sign that something is wrong is it? Baby has measured as v big too. So worried. Feel silly and paranoid!

I had this with DS2 - have to say he was very small though so I don't know if ther was more room for him?

He was transverse, breech, head down - different every time I was examined. I did have a minor placenta pravea that was missed by midwives (despite lots of bleeding and scans, surgeon was not happy). Don't know if that was irritating him.

Just so happened that on the day of birth (also had elec CS) he was head down.

I had a very active and mobile baby as I had excess amniotic fluid. He would flip from transverse to breech all the time and the reason for it was that he had lots of fluid to move around in. He struggled to go head down as there was too much buoyancy. I had an elective C section as although he went head down at a scan at 37 weeks he went back to breech at 39 weeks. I was told he would be biggish. He flipped again head down on the morning of the section. It still went ahead as it was an unstable lie. He was 8lb12. I wouldn't worry about lots of movements, it's a good thing that they are active.

I had a second CS for unstable lie. My DS was also moving lots right up til the end. He was small, 5 pounds 12 when I had my section at 37 weeks. They do a CS to avoid problems if the baby moves during a natural delivery (which happened with my DD and she got stuck in brow presentation). With my elective for DS, all was fine. He was transverse during the section and they needed forceps to deliver him even with a CS but he was fine. I don't think movement is anything to worry about, try not to worry.

You may have a roomy womb, excess fluid or a low lying placenta as far as I know. My DD was born after a CC at 38 weeks and was 6lbs 14 so not that small. DD was head down during birth. Pg again and as uncomfortable now as I was before with as much movement so wondering if I have a second unstable lie. Has anyone heard if a this is likely?

Sorry, should have said it's not a bad thing just something that happens in some pregnancies.
