18 weeks pregnant confirmed UTI crampes and "tightenings" not sure how concerned to be!?

Woke up today feeling shitty tried work but was nauseous crampy slowly dawned on me that I probably had UTI, Saw doc this pm got amoxycillin. Anyway all afternoon I have had cramps and lots of tightenings. Doc wasn't concerned but I am! Its my second pregnancy and I was very brakton hicsy with the first so probably nothing to worry about yes?? Come and reassure me ...............

Yes. I'm trying not to read too much tbh as think too much knowledge can be dangerous....
No one at the hospital are even in the slightest bit concerned about my 'condition' and am hoping because that is because it is so common for them and not because they are rubbish

right things have settled down, have decided am going to take gp at his word and give anti b's a chance to work. If I wake up overnight with pain will ring ward and do what they tell me. will ring midwife in the morning

Yes, if you're happy see what happens this time tomorrow, hopefully anti-b's would have kicked in by then and you'll be fine.
There's not much your dp can do, but if you need the emotional support from him you can tell him then.

hi dinny, I slept like a log felt better this morning just really achey but not a crampy ache like last night. Today its just damn sore. Definitely uti but no more of the tightenings. took it easy today and will try and take it easy tomorrow but dd is not at nursery tomorrow so I think its time to get the dora dvd out!
