how early did you hear your babys heartbeat on the doppler machine????

hi i am 11+4 days pregnant with second child and midwife has been unable to hear heartbeat so far on doppler. she tried almost 2 weeks ago and again today but cant get it yet. Is this ok??? she sais it is and i have read that it is but its just worrying me, i have my scan booked for teusday next week so only 6 days to wait but it just seems like forever while i am worrying if my baby is ok??? when did you first hear your babys heartbeat?

thankyou so much everybody ifeel really reassured and my scan is on teusday!!! im sure everything is fine (touch wood) as i have still got pregnancy symptoms i just really want to see heartbeat on the screen now!!!

I found all 3 of mine between 9-11weeks on my doppler. Honestly though, it could take 20mins plus sometimes in those early weeks. It's always much lower than you think and mine liked to hide at the side but then dart to the other side next time I tried.

Midwives just don't have the time. Most won't try before 16 weeks, so try not to worry. Just look forward to seeing little arms and legs on your scan.
