Hand foot and mouth

I've been in contact with a toddler who now has either a mystery virus or hand foot and mouth (his mum din't know at the time). Stupidly I let my dd share a drink with him so likely she will get. What are the risks to the baby? Is there anything I should do? Has anyone had experience of this? Was only a few weeks ago I had all of this with chicken pox....Aargh!

Don't panic. Most likely you have had it as a child and are immune, which will protect your baby. Read this How many weeks pregnant are you?

Thanks. Thats reassuring,.Im 28 weeks and not sure if I did have it as a child. God this pg business is stressful! I had just banned myself from looking at lurgies and potential problems etc in my pregnancy book and now I've started again.
