Am 36 weeks pregnant so can't take decongestant. Have taken paracetemol but it hasn't done much good and won't do anything to actually relieve the problem.

What can I do / take?

Not sure if it would help but i used a headache stick, called 4head i think? you rub it on your forehead and it has a faint smell that helps ease headaches. worth a try?

To clear the sinuses - try karvol on a tissue? esp at night.

Steam - very hot water in a bowl, head over bowl, towel over head, breathe in the steam......

Hi fruitstick,

I suffer from regular sinus and it's even worse now that I'm 15 weeks pregnant (apparently, being all bunged up is not ususual, it's called 'rhinitis of pregnancy').

My dad, who like me has struggled with a lifetime of sinus issues, recommended nasal irrigation... which is basically flushing out your passages with saline.

The best gadget for doing this is the SinuCleanse Neti Pot - looks like a small watering can, helps you pour the stuff down your nostrils. It works like a dream and is not unpleasant!

Just google it, I think you can buy the Sinucleanse neti pot on Amazon for about £17.

Hope that helps.
