Does anyone know if you can drink Camomile tea in Pregnancy?

Im almost 18 weeks and have been drinking camomile tea instead of normal tea as i am really off tea & coffee at the moment!

A friend of mine said to stay clear of Camomile tea as it can be used as a relaxant.

Any advice please?

I've never heard that you can't drink it - although it made me sick IIRC!

Why ever not? I drank plenty during both pgs - is she thinking of Raspberyy Leaf T?

Im not sure, she said that is might make the baby to relaxed as most people drink it to unwind & relax. the thing is i love it. If i ask the midwife she will probably laugh at me!

Can't think of a single reason why not.

I'd say a relaxed baby would be a good thing! Cammomile tea much better than lots of caffinated drinks when pg anyway.
