I dont want to feel as though i am being over dramatic but i just got really scared a few minuites ago. I just came over VERY dizzy and my vision went all blurry and i felt as though i was going to pass out and all i am doing is sitting on the sofa watching tv! when i saw the midwife last my blood pressure was slightly high but i dont know if this is normal to get all dizzy and faint or could there be something wrong? i am 11 and a half weeks by the way.

Do you feel better now? I think it is normal to feel dizzy in pregnancy - I read you should sit down and put your head between your knees until it passes. And try to rest more with your feet above your body if possible, just even raised slightly on a pillow. I can't remember what causes it but would imagine it's to do with blood flow and oxygen going to the baby.

If you're concerned, definitely contact your midwife. xx

I was so dizzy and had really bad headaches from about 10 to 18 weeks, then all went away. I actually walked/fell into a door frame and had a huge bruise on my eyebrow at about 14 weeks because I was so dizzy when I stood up. BP was a little bit high, but no really problem and had a load of blod tests but all was fine. Have had a consultant led pregnancy and she said it was probable just hormonal and it would go away after a while - which it did!
Its not nice but I'm sure it is nothing to worry about, however worth mentioning to your midwife

I get really dizzy every now and then and I'm 11+1. Its been like this for over a week. Its been everything from getting out of bed to turning around too quickly - midwife assures me its normal!

Perhaps get your iron levels checked? Mine are just borderline low (10.5) and dizzyness/breathlessness and feeling like I was going to pass out were the symptoms. Has not happened since gone on iron supplements.
