'safe' bottles which are anti-colic and have a 'natural' teat?

Hi there,

Can anyone recommend 'safe' bottles (i.e. Polycarbonate and Bisphenol A (BPA) free) but which are also good at preventing colic and have a natural teat so can use alongside breastfeeding?

I did use Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature last time but app these have BPA in them.

Can anyone recommend another brand? Are MAM any good?

Thanks

Have you contacted Avent Blameit? The first Avent hand pump I bought used to leak at the neck literally as I was expressing. I complained and they sent me a replacement piece and I never had the problem again I found them to be very helpful, but that was in 1998/9.

It seems to be a general problem solo. I've done a search and google brings up masses of people giving awful reviews and saying the same. Avent are taking the 'nothing wrong with our bottles' approach and telling people to send them back to get tested and they will see if the product is defective. But since they all seem to leak...

We bought ours in the States when we were there last year and didn't realise they leaked until we got home so can't complain now. So gutted because we bought 12 and that's a lot of money...

I would still contact them tbh. Explain it to them the way you have on here. You really have nothing to lose by the sound of it. Tell them that you replaced your original Avent bottles ~ which you loved because of all the reported 'problems' high lighted last year and that you are very disappointed with the 'new' ones and that 12 replacement bottles are a lot of money to just throw away etc. Lay it on thick ~ I would!

Hi

me again - has anyone used Breastflow bottles (available from Mothercare or online)? They have had some amazing reviews from mums combining breast and bottles. I rang than and they are app in the midst of producing a BPA free version.

any feedback much appreciated.
