I have a 3 yr old and a 5 month old and have just discovered I am pregnant (around 5 weeks, I think). i had both my previous children by c-section and because of previous complications in pregnancy, would have to have another section. Has anyone had c-sections so close together (will be 13 months apart). I am REALLY worried. Also worried about being pregnant so soon after major surgery , although very happy otherwise.

Hi, I had a c-section at 29 weeks last January and am due to have another in late March (14 mths between them). I got pregnant 5 months after my first baby was born as she died at 6 weeks old hence the short gap. We had been told to wait 6 mths but waited 5. I'm 30 weeks today and all has been fine. My scar sits under my bump so it's been fine. Best of luck. Cx

, congrats on your pregnancy.

I had a c-section with my first 2 1/2 yrs ago, got pregnant again at 6 months so 15 months between them, had an emergency section with 2nd, painful and more complicated recovery too, and i'm now pregnant again with my 3rd, there will be 18 months between the middle and 3rd child, and i'm booked in for a planned section because they think trying for a natural is too risky.

being pregnant again so soon, has been ok, i've had a few achy pains around my scar but noting major, they also found a cyst this time near one of my ovaries which hasn't cause any problems either. My body seems to have taken to it well thenk goodness.
Its hard work and tiring now i'm 29 wks, but in the early days i was just careful about my lifting etc and now i've taught my boys to do as much for themselves as i need them to.

If you're sensible and take it easy you'll be fine.

Congratulations!
I have 3 under 4, all cs, and I've been ok- the odd twinge around my scar-but nothing to worry about.
