Oh dear no real advice just wanted you to know I sympathise. DD1 was 4 days late and DD2 was 12 days late (she is still and ackward bugger). I feel your pain.

FIngers crossed for you. DS was 2 weeks late in the August of a heatwave year! At 9lb 6oz I wasn't amused, but when he decided to come he arrived in less than an hour & one push

singyswife · 17/01/2009 16:53

Yeah should have mentioned that when my dd did decide to arrive it was so rapid I went into shock afterwards and so did dd/

Have some rhubarb and custard.

And a hot curry, and a run up the stairs, and some sizzling sex, and get dp to squeeze your little toe while you play with your nipples . One of them should work.

One of mine was 2 weeks late to the day. She came out after 7 hours of labour, in her waters and was beautifully calm. She was very sorted and knowing. In the dining room of the maternity ward she cast an eye over all the other babies as if she was queen bee. She definitely waited until she was ready.

She was 9'5 and had such long fingernails, I had to nibble them straight away!

This one will come when he/she is ready. Try and get loads of sleep...

I was due yesterday and I'm fed up with waiting too! I know we should make the most of the time to rest, etc but the longer I wait the more I worry about everything and just want to get the baby out now and make sure it is all ok. My DS1 was a week early so I really expected this one to be as well (I know every pregnancy is different but still!) so I feel as though I'm a week late already even though I'm not!

I've tried everything - went for a really long walk today, but no signs yet, just a really heavy belly!

oh Tink...glad yo're having a moan...I feel the same, I'm 40+3 and just feel really frustrated, Started the week feeling positive, convinced DC2 would be in my arms by the weekend. Dc1 was a day early so never had to play this waiting game last time.

With DC1 I just went into labour and had her. With DC2 I am fed up with all the braxton hicks and false alrma and countless thoughts of...is this it? And then it turns out to be nothing....

Tried endless raspberry leaf tea, two clary sage baths a day, acupuncture, sex, bouncing on birth ball, long walk, swimming....about to have a curry!

And breath...right...that's my rant over...I feel better already
