DH has selfishly bought some salami in, I can't remember if it is okay to eat when PG. Also how bad would an egg be with a runny yolk for me. I am craving 'chucky egg and soldiers'
lol.

I also want walnuts, can I have them or is it all nuts that I can't have.
Mmmm and peanut butter spooned and eaten straight out of the jar, yum.

In theory, no because salami isn't cooked, it's cured. I think you would be OK with a lion stamped egg (they are supposed to be guaranteed salmonella free).

I went on holiday to Italy when I was 15 weeks PG 1st time round and ate lots of salami and ice cream (potential raw egg hazzard). The Italians thought it was bizarre that I should have been advised not to. There was no way I was spending 10 days in a country that makes the best ice cream in the world without having some!

Depends if you can live with the guilt if something happens.....

I don't blame you for trying the ice cream there, I bet it was lovely in Italy I am very that you have been. Italy is the place DH and I want to go....maybe one day.....

I think I may risk an egg with a runny yolk if my craving gets really strong, but looks like I will have to tell DH to hurry and eat all the salami (or feed it to the dogs when DH isn't looking lol )

Oh go for the egg, I can't stop eating them, and any egg that doesn't have a complete runny yolk makes me boak Have to admit though that's the only food 'rule' I haven't stuck to. No idea why, can't remember the last time I had food poisoning, I seem to have a stomach of steel.

My DH came home with a big packet of pate yesterday

I have been eating runny yolk fried eggs though and had smoked salmon at xmas. And a bit of champagne!

I don't think I would eat the salami personally, but then I don't like salami anyway! In reality it will prob be fine, I think the risks with the food are really really small...

Dusty, this is quite a comprehensive list of what you should avoid and what is ok to have.

The website also pretty well says that this peanut thing is nonsense anyway.
