cramping at 22 weeks, is this normal?

i have a check up booked for tuesday but i just wanted some other opinions. for about 2 weeks now i have been getting period like cramps. i never had this with ds1 and was just a bit concerned that it maybe isnt normal. can anyone shed any light? TIA

I used to get pains which I was told was ligaments stretching. When do Braxton Hicks start happening? I think you're probably ok at this stage if there isn't any bleeding or discharge. I would always phone the midwives at the local hospital if I felt worried about anything so you could do this if you don't want to wait to Tuesday? Might just put your mind at rest.
