Hi,

Do you know that there is a free anomally scan offered by Nhs since this New Year.

No more spending hundreds of pounds for our second scan.

Ask your midwife /GP about the routine anomally scan.

I dont know about Edinburgh but i'm in NHS Highland area and we were not offered a 20wk scan. When i wrote to request one i was told they hoped to offer this to all pregnant woman in highland by the end of 2009 (fat lot of good this is to me pregnant now!) and since my pregnancy appeared to be going trouble free then i wouldnt get one.

I really wanted another scan just to see baby and know it was ok but it's at least a 2 hour journey to anywhere we can have this done and OH has just lost job due to credit crunch so no spare cash. Will just have to wait until it comes out i suppose
