Hello. I'm seeing the midwife tomorrow anyway so can always mention it to her then but thought the collective wisdom on here would probably be more useful!

I'm 38+4 and wondering what the 'normal' sort of dischrge i should be having now is... it seems to have turned very watery in the last week or so and I'm wondering if this is normal or if it might be waters leaking? I have been having BH but no real contractions and not even sure if baby is engaged yet (will find out tomorrow hoperfully) I'm a first timer (in case you didn't already guess!) so this is all new to me!
Ps: I'm not overly worried by the way but wondering if i should be!!!

Normal discharge can be fairly heavy as I recall at this stage. If your waters are leaking I think you'd know (it happenned to me). It feels like peeing basically, only if you clench your pelvic floor it just keeps on coming!

Good luck!

If your waters were leaking btw it would come out a lot quicker than normal CM - even if it was just a leak rather than a full "gush".
