If all contractions started and stayed in my back last time, is it likely to happen like that this time?
Just asking because am very paranoid and a bit concerned about pains in back at moment....

Not necessarily, but it could do. My three labours have all included pain in my back, only my first was a back to back labour. Are you getting regular pains now?

Don't think it's regular, it's just frequent. This is going to sound really stupid but think it might just be him moving? I'm just being a drama queen, I'm in a panic because just found out have GBS, once that sinks in and the logical half of my brain takes over and gets the other half to understand that baby will be ok, I'll calm down and will stop thinking every tiny thing might be the start.

It is easy to think that you are about to start, I spent several times thinking that it was starting, with each of my pregnancies, several times landing in hospital with the contractions, but then for them to fade away again. Having said that with my last pregnancy, I was typing on mumsnet as I couldn't sleep, and thought that the baby had suddenly pressed against a nerve, so got up wriggled and then sat back down and continued typing. It happened again, so I told the baby to get off that nerve!!! The third time it happened I suddenly realised that it might be labour contractions. It was the first time I had ever had a painful contraction in the front!

I had GBS confirmed with my last pregancy at 33 weeks, and so I know what you mean about it taking time to sink in, but when I researched it I realised that it was nothing to worry about. Is this your second baby?

THanx rainbow, yes this is the second. Not had any dodgy feelings or pains in last half hour though so must be fine, just need to stop thinking about it

I just posted to you on the other thread regarding GBS. Glad to hear that the pains have stopped for now. Hope you have a good night rest now.
