KittyCatIsGettingFat · 13/01/2009 12:49

Bacon and Banana Pizza... it's dee-vine!!

wideratthehips · 13/01/2009 12:49

from about 12 to 20 weeks it was all super sweet crappy foods that you would eat as a teenager/student and not normally touch with a barge pole (for me anyway)

mr kipling...anything from the range

tinned creamed rice

doughnuts

but would then alternate with high fat/salt savoury food like hotdogs and sausage rolls and mega cheese toasties....poor baby, thankfully i'm now wanting to eat lots of fresh veg and loving raw carrots and red peppers at the moment...get terrible heartburn with the carrots for some reason

cali · 13/01/2009 12:51

not pg at the moment, but with dd2 it was blue cheese - never liked the stuff before, absolutely love it now!!

BlueSapphire77 · 13/01/2009 12:53

I have a strange one.

Chalk..
The smell of firelighters..
And my personal best..chomping on loo roll not swallowing of course. Just, chobbling. My fave word

SMELLS: Apart from the firelighter thing,
Old books
The smell inside library
Ditto smell inside a church..i think i'm the only person to have visited my local church in weeks lol

BlueSapphire77 · 13/01/2009 12:55

Opps better balance that out with my very good one of having mad cravings for raw veg, apples, and gravy dinners..anything with gravy on btw.

Just so i don't look like a mad woman.
Which i am

wideratthehips · 13/01/2009 12:59

oh my god...firelighters...i'm so there...i'm desperate to eat one...obviously haven't but they make me salivate (have had this with all pregnancies)

mumface · 13/01/2009 13:03

I know a lady who chewed sponges all day long whilst PG, her bath was full of chomped up bits. Not even real sponges, nasty synthetic ones.yuk

Cravings change all the time- infact sometimes they have been and gone in a single minute. Today's have been poached egg on toast. Yesterdays was corned beef. Have been going mad for cheese sandwiches with pickled onion, salt and vinegar crisps, chocolate, shredded wheat, scrambled egg and beans with HP, chicken fillet (im vegetarian! ), Quavers, chocolate donuts....

I havent had much of a sense of smell/taste for years, but since Ive been pregnant, it has come back with a vengeance and everything tastes/smells sooooo goooooood!!!! :0

Hawkmoth · 13/01/2009 13:04

Cola bottles and other fruity jelly sweets.

BlueSapphire77 · 13/01/2009 13:07

The smell of diesel as well *yum

All these cravings and not being able to eat them

Lol @ sponges, i knew a woman who loved to suck milk out of a sponge but thats the closest i've heard to that one.
I started a thread like this not long ago and one lady said about smelling washing, and wanting to suck the clothes..i was sooo with her on that one as well

Deaconwood · 13/01/2009 13:08

MustHaveaVeryShortMemory · 13/01/2009 13:11

My friend craved coal and toilet roll!!
Im into wotsits at mo!! But nothing major really

darlingquent · 13/01/2009 13:47

Fizzy Vimto, or if that's unavailable and I'm desperate, Coke. I usually hate fizzy drinks.

Summerisle · 13/01/2009 13:52

oh, and lemon juice with bits in it!

madm00se · 13/01/2009 13:53

I must be REALLY weird-2nd pregnancy and again NO cravings WHATSOEVER!!

madm00se · 13/01/2009 13:54

FAO Summerisle your senses heighten during pregnancy. I could smell from inside the house, someone walking at the other side of the house who was smoking-windows & doors shut!! I've went off alcohol & smell of it on DHs breath turns my stomach, but that's the only real thing!!

Pinkmarshmallow · 13/01/2009 16:27

HONEY... can't get enough of it!
add it to hot milk to drink
drizzle it over my cereal
take it with yoghurt & chopped banana
on toast, pancakes etc.
sneak a teaspoon full of it when no one is watching
& ohhhh best of all as a glaze over roast pork, then use it to make gravy for the roast spuds too.... mmmmmm

preggydonuts · 13/01/2009 16:36

My mum craved ice. I even knew her toeat it from the fish counter she was so desperate.
Have anyone else's 'horny' levels gone through the roof?

BlueSapphire77 · 13/01/2009 17:31

Yeah

Unfortunately DP doesn't seem to appreciate someone the size of a hippo jumping on him with a crazed look in her eyes *Sigh

rachels103 · 13/01/2009 20:46

Sour things...branston pickle, beetroot, worcester sauce crisps...I'm sure I read somewhere that's a sign but can't remember if it's of a boy or a girl.

xxhunnyxx · 13/01/2009 23:01

Sweets, sweets and more sweets.
Vingegar
Sausage sandwiches
Lemons or traditional lemonade, I could quite happily just suck on a lemon!
No cravings for firelighters just yet tho, altho I've always found them quite appetising!

wideratthehips · 14/01/2009 13:31

went through a stage of loving really tart fresh lemonade......citron presse
