Anyone have/considered the First Wheels City Elite Twin?

Would love to hear your thoughts. I am currently liking the fact that both DC's can face independently and that DC2 can have a carrycot but would really welcome any other comments, thanks

I bought the single one and i love it. Really good, and a total bargain (from Kiddicare - was very expensive in Mothercare!!)

Don't know where you live but a pram shop in Winchester stocks the twin one. IN fact a few places do, (Kiddicare showroom too). It might just mean ringing round the stockists list on their website.

KateQPR · 02/02/2009 16:47

Opps just seen you're abroad. Yes, look at the product videos in kiddicare web site. Gives you an idea.

I considered it and loved the look of it but
a) I got my cousin's old powertwin
b) It doesn't fold very small and at the time I had a tiny hallway that it wouldn't have fitted in not folded
c) you have to take both seats off to fold it
d)It is quite heavy-I think with the carrycots on it it weighed about 22kg-add to that the weight of the children and anything else you are lugging around and it would have been too much for me

NorktasticNinja · 02/02/2009 16:58

Meh. I whent to look at one for as we'll be needing a double when DC2 comes in June. I wasn't impressed TBH, it's massive when folded and really heavy. There's no way it would fit in our hall either.

Another double that has the same FF/RF/carrycot options as the First Wheels City Elite Twin is the ABC Design Zoom, it's a tandem rater than a side by side though. None of the pictures I've seen show the the child seat RF with the carrycot attached but I tried that configuration in the showroom and it was fine. It folds really small an despite being long was easy to steer.

The only other option with RF/FF/carrycot I know of is the Bebe Confort Twin Club, it's not available in the UK (or Holland, where I am) ATM but it is in some European countries so you might be in luck.

sorry that should read... had a tiny hallway that it wouldn't have fitted in folded let alone not
