Hi Im currently 23 weeks +3 days. I have a history of preeclampsia in my previous 2 pregnancies both were born at 32 weeks emergency C-Section. I had a doppler scan on Thursday 8th and showed notches in blood flow to my Womb. Obviously having gone through this twice previous I understand that this is a concern. I have been advised by consultant that the very latest I can leave work is 28 weeks but may be sooner depending on the results of my next scan at 26 weeks. I am concerned about returning to work as I have been off for nearly 3 weeks (Xmas & Holiday) and having to tell them this and to be quite honest Im feeling very anxious and tired. I have considered asking my G.P to sign me off on the sick now as my Job is quite stressfull, I am concerned about doing this as I do not get full Sick Pay so would only receive SSP. My question really is that My employer pay me full pay for 9 weeks mat leave and half pay 9 weeks the rest smp. The full pay & half pay will be calculated on my last 8 weeks earnings and if I take sick leave now then my last 8 weeks earnings would be considerebly lower due to only receiving ssp therefore I would loose a lot of money on my Maternity pay. Does anyone know any way around this? (Sorry about the spelling) lol
